The summer collection at Marini e Cecconi is marked by elegant and contemporary fantasy, and brings out the full potential of eco-responsible fabrics.
Ospiti del Mondo! Which is to say, “Guests of the Earth”. This is the unifying theme that weaver Marini e Cecconi has chosen to introduce its new summer 2020 products at Blossom Première Vision. It’s a time for contemporary fantasy. An offer the manufacturer dedicates to its avant-garde fashion customers.
Their choice is expressed in plains with shiny effects, in irregular ripples, in Lurex accents and coatings that give a real consistency to handles. Grounds are slightly wrinkled or even washed out, without ever being too casual. Elegance and femininity are given precedence.
Neat lines are offset by compositions in luminous colours verging on the singular brightness of neons. The colour range goes from powdery pink to deep violet, making room for red, orange and shadowy blues. Indigo, black, white and precious pastels are underscored.
Compositions illustrate the mill’s progress in the use of sustainable materials adapted to its own standards of quality, well-being and comfort: Gots-certified organic linen fabrics, organic viscose extracted from cotton linters, Eco Smart elastane from Roica (GRS certified), made 50% of pre-industrial waste.
Winner of the 2018 Grand Jury Prize at the PV Awards last September, Marini is also refining its artful blends of viscose and wool. It imparts a noble handle and a contemporary look to traceable wool fabrics, guaranteed non-mulesed (wool), washable and wrinkle-resistant (H2Wool).
